Malaysia Pholythenic English Festival (MPEF) 2019

We were really lucky since we were involved in Malaysia Pholythenic English Festival (MPEF) on August 26-28 2019 hosted by PTSB. MPEF is an English competition which there are five categories, namely, public speaking, scrabble, spelling bee, news casting, and storytelling competed by students among Polythenic in Malaysia. The opening ceremony was held on August 26th 2019 in Dewan Kuliah Utama (DKU) attended by participants, committees, accompanying lecturers, and officers. The welcoming speech done by Deputy Director (Academic Support).

The committees wore pink t-shirt which it indicated that they had to be ready to be asked by the participants or accompanying lecturers about the venue and stuff, but on our way along the corridor, people asked the venue of public speaking and storytelling. We were lost words since we have been here for 6 days and we have not known much about the place yet. Even though we did not have no idea at least we tried to find the way by asking the students. After strolling around, going down-up, we finally made it. It was such an honor wearing pink t-shirt. We felt special yet we still realized that we had a responsibility to help the participants finding their way.

On the first day, the participants were guided by facilitators to see their performing stage. They were given particular directive what need to be done and things do not be allowed. On the second day, the participants showed their ability off. We watched all the competitions except newscasting since we could not find the room. We spent much our time in public speaking because we were interested in. The contestants of public speaking were really awesome. The content and the way they presented were surprised us. Some of them looked nervous since they were not familiar with the public speaking but at least they already made a step starting their journey to be a public speaker. We believe success is not a final but it is a journey. So, actually all the contestants did great job. We were extremely lucky watching them as we could gain knowledge and learn different perspective. The final round and closing ceremony were held on the third day. The closing ceremony was spectacular. The food tasted good. The students’ performance was interesting. The vibes made us excited to be in. It was such an honor sitting among the top lecturers of PTSB and surrounded by the excellent contestants. Thank you PTSB for this great chance as we could be a part in Malaysia Pholythenic English Festival 2019. We will not forget it, indeed. Working with the committees was such a wonderful experience that we could not ask more.

Bowling Tournament

The day I had been waiting for so long finally came. Playing bowling after doing teaching practice was a must. This arranged due to public holiday (Agong’s birthday). The most special one was playing bowling with the Top Management of PTSB. They might look old in terms of age but their spirit was not doubted. I was so excited yet nervous because this was my first time. I never did it before, but I had watched how the player played on television. Somehow it looked easy, but when I tried to play it, many troubles came. There were 7 teams and each team consisted of 4 people. My members’ team were Rudi, Haznah, and Puan Liz. It was difficult keeping the ball straight; I had to be focused all the time. Since I didn’t have breakfast, I easily lost the focus but I kept trying hard to get score so my team could be the winner. I did strike once, such a lucky person. As the time went by, finally the score came out. Unfortunately, my team couldn’t be on the top three. It was totally fine at ...

Perginya Hanya Satu Kali Saja, Sanggup?

Aku percaya setiap ora...
